$70,000 - $75,000 / yearPRIMARY PURPOSE - The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounts payable function, including the processing and payment of invoices and reimbursement requests, as well as the upkeep of detailed records and control reports.
The Manager of Accounts Payable is in constant contact with both staff and vendors.
Trains and supervises employees who are in charge of processing vendor invoices.
Assists with the task at hand and directs the allocated employee.
Aids in the appraisal of employee performance.
They will assist wherever it's needed in the finance team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - o Ensures correct payments are made in a timely manner.
o Develops guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices.
o Verifies payments before CFO's signature is added by reviewing checks and vouchers.
o Ensures proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
o Ensures employer identification numbers or social security numbers have been collected from all vendors for the payables clerk to prepare and submit 1099s.
o Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
o Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - o Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, with one year of experience in an accounting office; OR three or four years of accounting experience with at least two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
o Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions.
o Understanding of basic accounting concepts.
o Excellent analytical skills.
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
